Our company

As a medium-sized, family-owned company founded in 1931, MAE has specialised in the construction of hydraulic presses since 1950. In 1965 we began concentrating increasingly on two core products: straightening machines and assembly presses. Today these two sectors account for more than 90 percent of total turnover.

Our clear organisational structure and quick decision-making processes enable us to respond rapidly to market requirements and realise new ideas. This customer-orientated approach has made us the market leader in our most important product sectors of straightening machines and wheelset assembly presses.

A courage to leave the beaten track and take risks are elementary components of our corporate philosophy. It is only thanks to innovative products with the traditional high quality standard of German machine tools that MAE is able, in spite of its expensive manufacturing location in Germany, to operate worldwide.
